All events my be attended by the troop or leaders and scouts individually. Event levels relate to the organizational level on that date. Events like Summer Camp  dates are "council-wide" on many dates, but it has a "troop" Event Level because that is the week that the troop is going to camp. All districts have Fall Camporee's, however, Troop 911 attends as a troop the "district" Event Level on the weekend selected by our district.

Area Tennessee Tech. Merit Badge College

January

Merit Badge College held each year at Tennessee Tech. in Cookeville, Tennessee.
National Scout Sunday February Celebrate the founding of scouting on February 8, 1910 by William D. Boyce and his associates.
Area Roane State Merit Badge College February Local college hosts a learning day where boys choose to earn one of over Twenty merit badges. Roane State Community College in Harriman, Tennessee.
Troop Webelos Weekend March or early April The troop invites area Webelos Dens for a weekend campout with the troop. We provide a variety of scouting skills demonstrations and games for the graduating Webelos to get a warm-up taste of Scouting. Great for the Arrow-of-Light.
Troop Appalachian Trail Trek Knox Co. School 's Spring Break Scouts organize a 3-5 day trip along the Appalachian Trail. Usually broken into two segments so scouts can arrive or leave at the middle stop in case of scheduling conflicts or hiking experience levels. This spring break trip is always a multi-day backpacking trip.
District Toqua Spring Camporee First Weekend of May Each Spring the Toqua District gathers to compete for the Best Overall Troop travelling award, "The Tower".
GSMC Summer Camp June or July Our troop travels to a local council Boy Scout Camp, such as Camp Buck Toms or Camp Davie Crockett, for a week-long scouting experience. Boys earn merit badges and work on advancement at this long-term camp.
District Toqua Fall Camporee Last non-UTK-football Weekend in September Each fall the Toqua District gathers in service to the community. This campout is a weekend devoted to scouting skills and gives the troops and district  an opportunity to do a service project for the park or area where the Camporee is held.
Troop Ghost Insurance October Get your Ghost Insurance from Troop 911! Annual Fund-Raiser where the troop sells Halloween Ghost Insurance in case the spooks visit. Low-to-ground and yard work only for clean-up.
Troop Troop 911 Family Night

About Every Six Months

Parents, scouts, family members and leaders get together twice each year to socialize and discuss the past and next six months of scouting. All family members are encouraged to attend as with all our scouting events. Refreshments are served, pictures are made, and memorabilia of recent events is shared.
Troop Winter Trip or Campout

November, January or February

Troop schedules a campout or trip to such places as Cumberland Caverns, Space Camp, or camping at Ozone.

District Toqua Fall Camporee

September 26-28, 1997

Emergency Skills Camporee at the Loudon Co. Piney Ruitan Club. The boys were taught many skills in First Aid, matchless fire-starting, emergency response, and more. Our boys also got a chance bake pizzas in an "open fire" oven. Fourteen and over boys got to practice repelling, rock climbing, and run a mountain bike course.

Troop Canoe Trip

September 6-7, 1997

Weekend Canoe trip overnighter to Thief Neck Island. Troop worked on the canoeing merit badge.
